These terms cover this website and nothing else. They are short because the site is an informational page, not a service.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site is published by Ellington Ventures, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713. "We" and "us" below mean that company.
2. Nothing here is an offer
This is the clause that matters. Nothing on this site — no description of the practice, no account of past work, no email exchange that follows from it — is an offer, a quote, a proposal, or a contract. It creates no obligation on either side.
Consulting work is governed solely by a separate written agreement signed by both parties, together with any statement of work under it. No engagement begins, and nothing is owed in either direction, until that agreement is signed. If anything on this page appears to conflict with a signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
3. The content of this site
The text, design and code of this site belong to us. Quote it, link to it, cite it — that's fine. Don't republish it wholesale or pass it off as your own.
4. It may be out of date, and it isn't advice
This page describes the practice in general terms. Details change, and nothing here is a promise about what any particular engagement will involve, cost or achieve. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and it is not a warranty of any result. The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we do not guarantee that it will be available or error-free.
5. Links out
This site does not currently link anywhere else. If we add a link, that site belongs to someone else, is governed by their terms, and is not our responsibility.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
7. Governing law
TODO — Ellington Ventures is a Delaware LLC operating from New York, so choose which law governs and set the venue to match. Use the same answer here and in the client MSA so the two cannot contradict each other.
